So far, I have enjoyed my experience with twitter. Prior to this class, I was an active twitter user. I mainly just looked at other people's tweets and retweeted things, I never actively tweeted much. That has been a challenge for me with this. I am constantly forgetting to tweet my own thoughts! Twitter is a great platform to share one's opinions and thoughts.
I was a little afraid for the Web Design assignment actually. There was a lot of things that needed to be done in order to get the high pass. I've never created a website before, but found myself having a lot of fun with it. I was able to include a interactive calendar, which I didn't even know google had! This is a great function for a teacher because it allows parents to stay up to date on upcoming things and events that are occurring in the classroom. Adaptive or assistive technologies are any products or devices that are used to maintain, increase, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. These technologies are great and there are many different forms of them. When I was in high school, there was a boy with asperges's syndrome who used adaptive technology to take notes and do his class and homework. A challenge with adaptive or assistive technology is that sometimes it can be very expensive, and those that need them may not be able to afford them.
