I think, as a teacher, data collection will be a very useful tool for my classroom. The main thing I would use data collection for is to keep track of grades for my students. It is very easy to use. It can compute the averages, medians, modes, max, min of all the student's homework and test grades.
I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging throughout the semester. One of the main things I've liked about it was seeing what my classmates posted and their thoughts on specific topics. Some of the topics I found interesting were how to keep students safe while using technology and the different forms of technology that can be implemented in the classroom. I found these to be the most interesting because I believe they are the most important topics for education and technology.
New technology is constantly being developed. I've been lucky to learn some new tech skills this semester that I could potentially use in the classroom. One skill I think I would like to learn more about is SmartBoard. I learned a little about it on our trip to the Tech Sandbox. I think a SmartBoard is a versatile tool that can make a classroom more fun and interactive.
